Quality Policy
Goal → AVID Spectrum Sdn Bhd (AVID) to maintain our lending position in the Oil and Gas Services industry by providing quality products and services that meet our customer's current and future expectations.
We recognize that Quality will be achieved by:-
- A Total Quality Management (TQM) approach where teamwork involving every employees, suppliers and customers are an essential component;
- Implementing our quality system in conformance with the applicable ISO 9001:2008 International Quality Standards and in compliance with the relevant International Safety and Environmental regulatory requirements;
- Development of all personnel through training for all levels of our organization
Objective → customers to have full confidence in our products and services. Their satisfaction is fundamental to our long term development and sustainability.
Our organization, management and staff are committed to the above philosophy and directives. We take the full responsibility to communicate, deploy and implement this policy.
HSE Policy
- AVID Spectrum Sdn Bhd (AVID) policy is to strive for excellence in all of its activities including Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) matters;
- AVID is committed to give priority to HSE and take every reasonable and practicable step to prevent, control and eliminate work that is related to injury, illness, damage to property and pollution to the environment;
- AVID shall provide all the necessary resources, organization and training to all levels of staffs to ensure competent workforce are deployed in performing our Health, Safety and Environment roles and responsibilities;
- AVID shall ensure that the facilities it design, build and operate, and the services provided are in accordance with the appropriate legal requirement and meet industrial best practice at all times;
- AVID shall ensure that contingency plans are in place and maintained to deal with emergencies and shall periodically review the Health, Safety and Environment management system and practices to ensure continuous improvement;
- AVID requires all of its employees, who directly or indirectly involved with the work to strictly adhere to this policy at all times to achieve "ZERO" target accident.
Stop Work Policy
- AVID Spectrum Sdn Bhd (AVID) is committed to ensure, as far as practicable, the Health and Safety of its employees and the Environment.
- It is the Company's policy that all employees regardless of positions have the right to stop work when there is immediate threat to Health, Safety and that of others or has an adverse impact to the Environment or to Company's property.
- Where there is doubt whether work should stop, the employee's concerned should consult or notify his immediate supervisor of the hazardous situation. Any threat should first be rectified, corrected and made safe before work or activities can resume.
- To support this policy, the Management has given its full support and cooperation for the Employees' Right To Stop Work.
Drug & Alcohol Policy
AVID Spectrum Sdn Bhd {AVID) is committed to give full priority to Health, Safety and Environment wherever it operates. Since the use of alcohol and drug can impair performance at work and a threat to the safety and health of all people including employees, suppliers, contractors and other personnel, it is AVID's policy to ensure that all of its operation is clear from alcohol and drug. This covers usage, manufacture, sale, purchase and distribution of alcohol and drug at work.
To achieve all this, AVID's employees, suppliers, contractors and other personnel shall observe all the following important conditions:-
- Employees, suppliers, contractors and other personnel who have alcohol and/or drug dependence should seek professional advice and appropriate treatment and/or rehabilitation;
- Being at work whilst impaired by alcohol and/or drug shall be strictly prohibited. The illicit use, possession, distribution, or sale of alcohol and/or drug within Company Work-Site or Premises shall be strictly prohibited;
- Company may at any time conduct unannounced search for alcohol and drug on its Employees, Work-Site or Premises;
- Company may at any time reserves the right to request employees, suppliers, contractors and other personnel at its Work-Site or Premises to undergo alcohol and/or drug test. If the alcohol and/or drug test is positive, or if any employee, suppliers and contractors is found to be in possession of, use or involve in trafficking of alcohol and/or drug, such person shall be subjected to disciplinary action, including termination of service and/or being reported to the relevant authority;
- All employees, suppliers and contractors are responsible to ensure that they observe this policy.
Eye Protection Policy
Consistent with our commitment to achieve continuous health, safety & environment (HSE} performance and to assure that the management of HSE is in line with the Group HSE objectives, all employees are to comply with the Company's policy; Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders shall implement this policy in the management of their daily activities and ensure that the policy is adhered to.
It shall be the duty of every employee while at work to wear or use at all times any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer for the purpose of preventing risks to his safety and health'. (Laws of Malaysia, Occupational Safety And Health Act and Regulations, Act 514, Ninth Edition 2002, MDC Publishers Printers)
Any employee who violates this Policy shall be subject to disciplinary action
To have a safe working environment requires workers who are not a hazard to others, to himself or to Company's properties and I would therefore seek your attention and fullest cooperation in ensuring and compliance to the Policy at all times.
Smoking Policy
In line with the Company's HSE Policy objective to improve employees and workplace occupational health, safety and environment, I am issuing this note to all employees that the Company is enforcing a non - smoking work environment. Smoking is a hazard to health and a major fire hazard, which could cause major damage to properties and lives. The management is aware of the need of the smokers to smoke, thus the management has allocated a designated smoking area(s) and imposed non- smoking in the following areas;
Strictly NO SMOKING AREAS are:
- Offices, stores and cabins
- Offshore oil & gas facilities
- Washrooms & toilets
- Plant, workshops & stores
- Open yard
- Areas where the “No Smoking" signboard are displayed
Disciplinary action can and will be taken on any employees breaching this policy.
I would therefore seek your attention and fullest cooperation in compliance with the Smoking Policy at all times. Managers and Supervisors shall advise visitors and other contractor's staff of the above
Integrity Pledge
We, AVID Spectrum Sdn Bhd (AVID} (hereinafter referred as the "Company") hereby solemnly and sincerely pledge the following:
- The Company shall fully abide by the nation's law, rules, procedures and policies on corruption prevention and abuse of power;
- The Company shall abhor and reject all forms of corruption and abuse of power, and shall give our full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in preventing corruption and abuse of power;
- The Company shall not indulge in any form of corruption and abuse of power either directly or indirectly, with any party dealing with the Company;
- The Company shall take proactive steps to ensure that our employees shall not indulge in any act of corruption and abuse of power in any dealings concerning the Company;
- The Company shall instantly report any form of corruption and abuse of power either involving its directors or employees, to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
